What are Client and Merchant Accounts?
When using the e-RegisterNow online event registration software there are two different types of accounts that help you with event and ticketing management. The Client account is called a C account and Merchant accounts are called M accounts.
The C account is a centralized database of all registrations and transactions and connects all of the M accounts together. When signing up with e-RegisterNow you will receive one C account to manage multiple M accounts.
C accounts are used for lookups, email blasting, management and marketing. Numerous reports are also available which help in account reconciliation.
Registrant and financial data flows from the M accounts into the C account and stores on a secure server the information of every client that has made a transaction within one of your M accounts.
M accounts are the sub-directories of the system and are used to manage events and ticket sales. You can have any number of m accounts and they are centrally managed by one client account.
A M account selling etickets may be duplicated to use for a similar project. For example a camp for one year may be duplicated in order to be used for the same camp the next year. The duplication copies everything except transactions and registrants but necessary tweaks like pricing and dates can easily be made. Duplication of merchant accounts must be completed by e-RegisterNow staff.
Each M account may also use its own unique web design and have its own set of users and reports.
