Use of the e-RegisterNow Registration Software
The Sports Card and Memorabilia Expo occurred from May 3rd – May 5th 2019 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. I had the chance to attend on Friday the 3rd to see the setup and operation of the e-RegisterNow registration software.
The expo was using both the e-RegisterNow iPhone ticket scanning app and the desktop registration platform. This helped to mediate the huge lineup of event attendees that was outside the doors. Most of the event attendees bought tickets online through the e-RegisterNow’s web based ticketing page which made registrant management a breeze.
The e-RegisterNow registration system was also used as a management platform for attendees to purchase autographs and fast passes to take a picture with their favourite sports players. This helped prevent huge lineups to purchase autographs and pictures at the venue.
About the Event
I also had the chance to take a walk through the show as well. It was very organized and you could easily tell that some serious event planning went into putting the event together. There was a variety of different exhibitors with different items for sale. There was also autographed memorabilia, jersey’s, cards, and a variety of miscellaneous items like chairs from the old Montreal Forum available.
On my walk to the exit I saw a really nice signed Patrick Roy picture. In the bottom right of the frame there is a plaque that states many of his accomplishments throughout his amazing career. Some of these accomplishments include all of the years that he won the Stanley Cup, the years of his Vezina trophy wins, and his draft year and position.
Conclusion
Overall this event ran smoothly and was very successful. The e-RegisterNow registration process made the check in for attendees fast and simple and made the jobs of the check-in staff easier. The management tools that e-RegisterNow provides made event organization easier as well.
