The ETS, (i.e. e-RegisterNow Ticket Scanner) is a well thought out iOS App which is capable of scanning 1-d barcoded tickets at the door of your event. The app runs on an iPhone 5 or iPad 3 or higher. iOS version 10 is required. Every ticket selling software package needs a reliable and versatile barcode scanner. Sell tickets fast and then scan them fast without any line ups.
Multiple apps communicate to each other in real time. If your venue charges an exorbitant fee for internet access, switch the app into stand alone mode to save money. Upon conclusion of the day or show, link the app to the internet and press the ‘Sync’ button to transfer all scanned data to the main server and the other scanning devices.
An essential element of selling tickets online requires a way to redeem your tickets when the purchaser arrives at your event. In order to redeem tickets, use this app or choose a specialized piece of software which is capable of scanning your event’s bar coded ticket.
The ETS barcode scanner maintains a local copy of all of your tickets purchased and unpurchased. This local copy represents the universe of all tickets, and allows the barcode scanner to operate with or without internet access. If the internet is sensed by the scanner, then a scanned ticket is first checked with the central server, otherwise, the local copy of the ticket is used to adjudicate the status of the ticket. When internet access returns to the scanner, any locally scanned tickets are automatically sent to the central server and any updates from the central server are returned to the local ETS scanning device. All of the data transfer happens seamlessly under the hood.
There is also a stand alone switch which forces the scanner to operate on its own without internet access. The advantage of this, is to avoid costly venue internet access fees. To operate in stand-alone mode, it is necessary to begin by downloading the codes and upon conclusion re-sync to the central server. Downloading ticket codes and re-syncing briefly require internet access. If there’s only one point of entry, running in stand-alone mode performs the gate functions perfectly.
The ETS scanner has the following states:
- OK, the ticket is valid, let the purchaser in,
- DUPLICATE, this ticket has already been redeemed. The time and entry point are provided.
- INVALID CODE, the barcode is unknown to this event. This code has neither be bought or redeemed.
- NOT PURCHASED YET, a valid barcode which has not yet been purchased.
The ETS scanner has two optional sounds one for the OK state and one for all other states.
The ETS scanner can scan barcodes appearing on paper, or on a mobile screen.
The ETS scanner avoids the need for ethernet cables, hubs, handheld scanners and laptop computers. Scan concert tickets outside or inside with the simplicity of an iPhone.

Using Another Package to Sell Event Tickets Online?
The ETS scanner will scan any set of alpha-numeric ticket codes. Call us and we’ll load your codes into a central server so that you can use the free ETS scanner. The ETS scanner is a member of a larger set of eTicketing tools. These tools include the ability to sell tickets online through your website, or through box office or kiosk software. Tickets may also be purchased over mobile devices. The ETS scanner can also scan barcodes directly from a mobile device’s screen.
While scanning tickets, the ETS can switch between internet mode and stand-alone modes if connectivity conditions change. The transition between internet mode and stand-alone mode is seamless and happens automatically. If tickets are scanned in stand-alone mode, they are automatically sent to the central server once internet access is resumed. The ETS scanner while in internet mode, can react in real-time to tickets as they’re purchased, even while the show is in progress.
Who Uses this Scanner?
